Overview

The BIT Training IT Skills Bootcamp is twelve weeks of intensive personal and technical training and covers all aspects of IT that would be needed within a work environment.

The personal development side includes CV support, interview skills, identifying interpersonal and transferable skills and utilising social media for employability, while from a technical point of view, the bootcamp includes CompTIA A+, IT Service Management Certification (ITIL® 4 Foundation) and CertNexus CyberSafe Awareness

Description

Technical topics covered on the programme:

Master CompTIA A+ and learn and support basic IT infrastructure, basic networking and configure device operating systems.

IT Service Management Certification (ITIL® 4 Foundation): Gain a basic understanding of the ITIL ® framework and how it can enhance the quality of IT service management within an organisation.

An introduction to cybersecurity, exploring the field of cyber security, learning how to stay safe on the web, learning about attack vectors and attack types and exploring career options in cyber security.

Explore the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Future of Tech. Find out what IoT is, AI, and the recent rise of Generative Pre-Trained Transformer Language Models such as ChatGPT. Learn how it works and how you can become part of it and use it.

We are offering 15 individuals living in Devon or Cornwall, training places, Trainees will gain the knowledge, skills and behaviors to move into IT support roles, Service Desk roles, IT coordinator roles, technical support specialist, help desk technician, desktop, support technician, field service technician, and system support specialistupskill to further IT and Cyber qualifications, Level 3 & 4 digital apprenticeships

Career path

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
